Akber Jaffer on 2026: moving from pilot to production
2026 is a real pivotal year, I think, particularly for our clients. The key thing for 2026 is moving from pilot to production.
We are here at Smartstream to continue to service our customers, both through providing them with the right tools so that they can govern the technology implementation and get the right return on investment. They can integrate their applications, because they live in an interconnected world. That is delivered through a high degree of trust, which our customers continue to rely upon with Smartstream.

2026: the year clients move from pilot to production
Technology pilots only deliver value once they run in daily operations. In this short message from Smartstream Connect Europe, Akber Jaffer, Chief Executive Officer of Smartstream, describes 2026 as a pivotal year for clients, with the shift from pilot to production as the defining priority.
Governance, return on investment, integration and trust
Smartstream’s role, as Akber Jaffer puts it, is to give customers the right tools to govern their technology implementation, achieve the right return on investment and integrate their applications in an interconnected world. All of this rests on the high degree of trust customers continue to place in Smartstream.
These themes also ran through the relaunch of Smartstream’s enterprise reconciliation platform, Smart Reconciliations Premium, previewed at the event.
