New Version of Smart Reconciliations Premium Announced
Securities Finance Times reports that Smartstream has announced a new version of Smart Reconciliations Premium, introducing agentic AI that can investigate, progress and resolve reconciliation exceptions autonomously. Under the release, Smart Agents no longer just surface a break for someone to work; they investigate it, act on it and close it under centralised governance with a full audit trail, aiming for around 25% lower total cost of ownership and 50% more throughput on hardware clients already own.
GRIT Framework Underpins the Release
The publication notes the release is built on four principles Smartstream calls GRIT: governance, ROI, integration and trust, and quotes Chief Product and Technology Officer Thomas Steinborn on AI now underpinning the platform’s reconciliation foundation rather than sitting beside it. The new version will be showcased at Sibos in Miami from 28 September to 1 October 2026.
